Solo Travel in Strasbourg, France

The Cathédrale de Notre Dame Strasbourg
Solo travelling is something many people aspire to do but many dangers follow, especially for women. Finding the best places to travel to and where to stay, can make travelling alone much safer. I have not travelled solo but have travelled to Strasbourg with a tiny group of two other people and believe it is a great choice for solo travel. Strasbourg is a small town in Eastern France right on the border of Germany It is a relatively cheap place to stay, the only major expense would be the flight.. Trams are relatively cheap and I used them all the time while exploring the town. A great choice to stay would be the City Residence Strasbourg Center, it is a close walking distance to the train which is the best way to get around the town other than walking. You can stay here for a week for under $600 and since Strasbourg is right on the border of Germany there is no limit on things to do and explore around the town. There is a Cathedral right at the heart of downtown Strasbourg called The Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-Strasbourg, which you can visit, as well as a tram that takes you directly to Khel, Germany in less than 20 minutes.

Strasbourg has a variety of great shopping and restaurants to try, and the nightlife is one of the town’s main selling points for young tourists. There are numerous nightclubs, speakeasies, and bars to visit all around town. The streets of Strasbourg are also very safe to travel during the day and at night, I walked the streets many times alone at night when on my way back to my accommodation I never felt nervous or threatened. The locals are also friendly but also keep to themselves which I valued highly as it also made me feel more safe when I ventured into town alone. Strasbourg is full of beautiful architecture, rivers, and scenery, I did not stray far from the town but, there are many parks and gardens to explore all around. Strasbourg is a beautiful town and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of taking their first solo trip.
