Paula is a Colombian-born Canadian and one of the TRU Study Abroad Program Ambassadors this year. Her interest in Science and Vet prompted her to go on a research trip to Colombia, in an effort to learn and gain experience in her area of study but also to reconnect with her Colombian roots. In this interview with her, she explains her reasons behind her trip, her experiences studying abroad, the influences of both her Canadian and Colombian heritage in her life, her new role as a Study Abroad Ambassador, how the Study Abroad Program works for International Students and ways that we can increase interest in studying in Latin America.
