This podcast is about the challenges West-African people are faced with when they move to Canada. For this podcast I interviewed Adesire Ajayi-Smith, she is a TRU International student from Nigeria who’s been living in Canada since the beginning of this year. She talked to me about some of the challenges of moving from Western Africa to Canada. She told me how speaking with her sister overseaes has become very difficult.
“It has become impossible to talk with my sister because there is a 8 hour difference between our time zones, This has been very difficult for me this year.”
This podcast episode will be very useful for people not just from Western Africa, but for anyone coming from anywhere who are looking to come to Canada. International students who are still new to Canada and are still trying to figure out how to adapt to their new home could have a lot to gain from listening to a fellow international students experience. And this episode is also useful to Canadians who want to learn what the process is like moving to another country and what kind of a toll that would have on a family and how we should treat our new neighbours.
