In this podcast, I interviewed a student who studies at Thompson Rivers University, and has travelled to amazing places such as: Thailand, Cambodia, Mexico, and a few national parks located through Canada and the United states. I asked them to share their travels to Thailand and Cambodia and how they did it. Rachel, my interviewee, was able to share her stories from her travels and was able to answer my questions on if and how she did it on a budget. Spoiler alert, these destinations have to be one of the most affordable places to travel to! Rachel helped me learn about some challenges she faced as she navigated her way through airports and busy Thai streets. She was able to share how she could go out to eat for only around $4 and could easily navigate her way around with Tuk-Tuks and walking around the scenery. My favourite part was how there seemed to be so much to do without having to spend a dime. Rachel told me about temples and historic landmarks that were available for viewing. Some of these temples do require payment, but you get a private guide who walks you through so much history, including giant statues, monks, and even monkeys.
